Africa Part One

I finally found some free time to update my blog. Ha, Ha! (For those of you that know me, know that's funny because I've been a leisure lady for the past two months...sleeping in, staying up late and letting the days run on together) Alas I'm back.
After leaving Utah on Christmas morning we arrived in Zimbabwe Africa 36 hours later after much crying, throwing up, a little sleeping and just alot of waiting... We were embraced by our friends and their entire (cousins, aunts, neices, friends) family at the Harare airport.
We went to a few Squash lessons in the mornings, swam and a few days later we drove up to Lake Carriba (One of the largest man made lakes in the world) & stayed on a house boat for about a week. It was similar to boating on Lake Powell, only the waters are crocodile infested and the boat was fully staffed with chefs, bartenders, maids to watch the children and a captain & crew to navigate the boat. It was so hot it was impossible to sleep at night, I even bribed someone for a fan. We were able to fish, lounge, Swim in the pool on the boat, lay out and eat alot of food and drinks. Including High Tea twice a day. The sunsets were amazing and while we were fishing for Bream we had a crocodile jump out of the water and bite the fish right off our line as we were netting it into the boat. Freaky!
One of my favorite parts was when we were floating on the house boat, eating lunch & we looked out the window of the dining room and saw elephants grazing near the shore of the lake- Amazing!
